Chapter 4 of True Vision 4 Success: Positive Self Discipline

"The first and best victory is to conquer self."--Plato

I know you realize that if you truly want to achieve something above and beyond what most people accomplish, it will take effort above and beyond what most people display. It's simple logic: in most cases, you get out of something what you put into it. When there's little effort put forth, there's little benefit received.

Regardless of what you may have heard, it is not luck that determines success, You don't see many people who are walking around forty pounds lighter, smoke free, or wealthy because of luck. No, luck actually has little to do with it. Rather, the rules of success determine, for the most part, whether you succeed or fail; nothing more.
The rules of lasting success start with obtaining a True Vision.

Leonardo Da Vinci had a True Vision and more. He was a painter, sculptor, musician, engineer, architect, scientists, writer, and inventor. Leonardo Da Vinci believed strongly in the importance of visualization. "All of our knowledge has its origins in our perceptions. This is called pre-imaging; imagining the things that are to be," he wrote. Da Vinci's ability to visualize was so great that he actually created drawings for a helicopter, a car, a tank, a submarine, a parachute and many other forward thinking inventions. Four hundred years before the automobile was invented, Da Vinci envisioned it! He never limited himself to what he actually saw; instead his mind's eye saw no limits. This is a great lesson to us all.

Do you look around each day and see limitations, or do you envision possibilities?

The truth is, if you don't consciously build good Winning Habits, you will unconsciously build bad ones.
